How to Disable New Programs Alert

This is only applicable if you have the new XP start menu not if you are using classic.


To get rid of this alert is really easy:

-> Right click the start bar and click properties.

-> Go to the start menu tab and click customize.

-> Click on the advanced tab.

-> De-select "Highlight newly installed programs"
